Pledge of Allegiance Affidavit of Posting Adjustments to the Agenda - None ORAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS: None 1) Approval of the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 10, 2012. Recommendation: Approval of the Minutes of April 10, 2012 as presented. Motion by Commissioner Salinas, Seconded by Commissioner Davis to approve the minutes as presented. Vote: 3/0 with two abstentions. (Commissioner Smith and Bennecke abstained due to absence from meeting) 2) Scheduled Matters/Public Hearings a. Conditional Use Permit No. 12-CUP-04, Request to Expand "Hala Hookah Lounge" located at 174 Beaumont Avenue. Applicant: Mohammad Tabel Recommendation: Hold a Public Hearing and Approve Conditional Use Permit No. 12- CUP-04, subject to the conditions of approval. Staff report was given by Rebecca Deming, Director of Planning Open Public Hearing 6:06 p.m. Mohammad Tabel -Applicant Closed Pubic Hearing 6:08 p.m. Motion by Commissioner Bennecke, Seconded by Commissioner Davis to approve Conditional Use Permit No. 12-CUP-04 subject to the conditions of approval. Vote: 5/0 b. Conditional Use Permit 12-CUP-03 and Negative Declaration No. 12-ND-03, Olympic Recycling — a Proposed Commercial Recycling Center at 550 E. 1st Street—Applicant: Cheyanne Reyes Recommendation: Hold a Public Hearing and Approve Conditional Use Permit No. 12- CUP-03 and Adopt Negative Declaration No. 12-ND-03, based on the findings and subject to the conditions of approval. Staff Report was given by Chris Tracy, Associate Planner Open Public Hearing 6:26 p.m. Cheyanne Reyes—Applicant Closed Public Hearing 6:55 p.m. Motion by Commissioner Bennecke, Seconded by Commissioner Smith to approve Conditional Use Permit No. 12-CUP-03 and Negative Declaration No. 12-ND-03 subject to the conditions of approval, including the following additions: Conditional Use Permit will return to Planning Commission for review in two years; There shall be no auto dismantling; and Block wall, curb and gutter, and sidewalk shall be in place on frontage(s) within two years.
