HomeMy Public PortalAboutApril 9, 2013 MinutesMinutes Planning Commission Regular Session (6:00 p.m.) Tuesday, April 9, 2013 Call to Order: 6:00 p.m. Place: Civic Center, Room 5 Roll Call: Chairman Smith, Commissioner Bennecke, Commissioner Wirick, Commissioner Tinker were present. Commissioner Balingit was excused. Pledge of Allegiance Affidavit of Posting Adjustments to the Agenda: PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: Anyone person may address the Planning Commission on any matter not on this agenda. If you wish to speak, please fill out a "Public Comment Form" provided at the back table and give it to the Clerk. There is a three (3) minute limit on public comments. There will be no sharing or passing of time to another person. State Law prohibits the Planning Commission from discussing or taking actions brought up by your comments. Any questions will be answered by staff after the meeting, during normal business hours or at the next regular meeting. 1) Approval of the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 12, 2013. Recommendation: Approval of the Minutes of March 12, 2013 as presented. Motion by Commissioner Bennecke, Seconded by Commissioner Wirick to approve the minutes as presented. Vote: 410 2) Scheduled Matters/Public Hearings a. Conditional Use Permit No. 13 -CUP -05 Ortco Granite Fabrication at 540 Euclid Avenue. Applicant: Oscar Reza Recommendation: Receive Staff report; Conditional Use Permit No. 13 -CUP -05, conditions of approval. Hold a Public Hearing; and Approve based on the findings and subject to the Staff report was given by Kyle Warsinski, Community Development Analyst Open Public Hearing 6:09 p.m. Speakers: Oscar Reza — Applicant Closed Public Hearing 6:11 p.m. Motion by Commissioner Bennecke, Seconded by Commissioner Wirick to approval as presented. Recommendation: Receive Staff Report; Hold a Public Hearing; and Approve Plot Plan No. 13 -PP -03, based on the findings and subject to the conditions of approval. Vote: 410 C. Sundance Specific Plan, Planning Area 24; "Living -Smart Solaris" Plot Plan No. 13 -PP -04, Southeast Corner of Oak Valley Parkway and Cherry Avenue Recommendation: Receive Staff Report; Hold a Public Hearing; and Approve Plot Plan No. 13 -PP -04, based on the findings and subject to the conditions of approval. Vote: 410 d. Amendment to the Conditions of Approval for Plot Plan No. 11 -PP -01 to Allow Cabinet Wall Signs in lieu of Channel Letters for Tenant Signs at 1302 E. 6t" Street. Applicant: Jaime Wagner Recommendation Receive Staff Report; Hold a Public Hearing; Amend Plot Pian No. 11 -PP -01, Condition #3.2 to allow for cabinet tenant signs with the approval of a sign permit by Planning Commission; Approve Sign Permit No. 13 -SN -07; and Approve Minor Variance No. 13 -MV -07. Vote: 410 e. Review of Landscape Plans — Plot Plan 04 -PP -18, Fourth Street Median; West Nicholas Road. Applicant: Master Development Corp. Recommendation: Approve the Fourth Street Median Landscape Plans as presented.
