SUMMARY STATEMENT:
In an effort to engage the community in a robust way, City Council held a round-table style workshop called “What Works?”— #2 in the Community Conversations Series. The workshop, held
on May 11, 2015, was on the state of our streets and how to pay for them. Thirty-two community members participated. After an educational presentation, attendees were divided into five
round-table groups in order to complete and exercise called “What Works.” This exercise was designed to give the community an opportunity to see how other like-communities collect and
utilize their L.O.T. revenue, as well as to have the community weigh-in on which L.O.T. options would “work” in McCall. The results of that exercise are included with this agenda bill.
The third workshop in this series, “What Else?” will be held on June 9, 2015, 6:00 PM, McCall-Donnelly High School. A Council discussion on “What Else?” the Council would like to learn
from the community, and from staff at the June 9, workshop is encouraged.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Discussion and debrief of the May 11, 2015, Community Conversation #2.
