SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Parks and Recreation Director solicited a $50,000 donation from Midas Gold to meet financial needs to install toilet facilities, install adequate drainage, and refurbish the playing
fields at Fairway Park. In exchange for this donation Midas Gold was awarded the naming rights to Fairway park by the City Council. Midas Gold has asked the community to offer suggestions
and then to vote on three names deemed appropriate by the Midas Gold staff and the Director of Parks and Recreation. The three names were presented to the Council on May 14, 2015 and
to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee on May 20, 2015. The Council will be asked to adopt the final selection.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the renaming of Fairway Park. The naming rights will not exceed 15 years per the adopted City of McCall Donation Guidelines and Park Naming Policy.
