SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Development of Riverfront Park is a priority in the Parks and Recreation Department’s Capital Improvement Plan. In 2015, a conceptual plan was developed for the first phase of improvements
to include parking and roadway improvements. The Streets Department improved the road access in May, 2015 and added barriers to reduce damage from off-road vehicle use. The Idaho
Department of Parks and Recreation administers funding that allows municipalities to improve access to public recreation areas. Funds from the FY17 Road and Bridge program are requested
to assist with parking lot development, erosion control, and stormwater management.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve submission of a FY17 IDPR Road and Bridge application and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
