SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The City of McCall has numerous City advisory committees that volunteer countless hours for the City Council and the community as a whole. The City has never hosted a City wide appreciation
event for our dedicated volunteers. Therefore, an appreciation lunch is being proposed to honor our volunteers, provide an opportunity for the different groups to interact and share,
and host a “McCall In Motion” (Comprehensive Plan and Transportation Master Plan) visioning workshop with all committees and governing boards. The governing boards and community/city
committees were identified in the public involvement strategy. The event is being planned for Tuesday, April 26 from noon- 2 pm.
Staff is researching the cost of hosting the lunch. It is requested that the appreciation lunch is funded through the City Council budget since the majority of the attendees are advisory
groups to the City Council. Other groups to be invited include Valley County Board of Commissioners, McCall Redevelopment Agency (MRA) and relevant Department Heads. Specific costs
will be presented at the meeting along with a recommendation from the Council budget for funding this expense.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve funding for an appreciation lunch for City Advisory Committees and Governing Boards.
