SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Chief Justin Williams will review the 2016 July 4th festivities to provide a comparison of calls for service for the 2015 and 2011 (last time 4th of July was on a Monday) events. Other
first responders (McCall Fire Department and County Sheriff’s office) will be present to provide an update to the Council as well.
In addition to data points from first responders, staff will discuss a follow-up community feedback process with the Council. The intent of this process is to circle back around to get
feedback from businesses and the general public regarding this year’s 4th of July events. This process will be followed by further discussion among partner agencies and the Council
to determine improvements or changes to be made moving forward for this event. Staff will also complete a financial analysis of this event to ensure that the cost of planning this event
is considered as a part of this discussion.
