SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The intent of this work session is to update the Council on the continued sewer planning efforts. General direction will be requested from the Council regarding existing planning efforts
being conducted by City staff. This presentation will be informational in nature; however general direction may be requested from the Council.
At the January 20, 2016 PLRWSD Board meeting, the District Board voted unanimously to choose to proceed with Alternative 2 as presented in the JUB Reuse Implementation – PER Analysis
Results report. This option had an initial higher capital cost, a new reuse pipeline, and much lower long term risk as this option was not dependent on Simplot or Lake Irrigation District
easements.
City staff and SPF Water Engineers continued to review all available options along with developing more accurate cost estimates for capital improvements at the Wastewater Treatment Plant
and the Winter Storage Pond.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
None. For City Council review and discussion if necessary.
