SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Library consultants were engaged to study the current library space and community needs. The consultants conducted more than 20 meetings with the public, City staff, City Council, Library
Expansion Committee and Library Trustees. This local experience, paired with extensive expertise and comparative research with national standards, makes the case for an expanded library
on McCall’s city campus. As directed by the City Manager, the Expansion Committee has chosen 2 possible designs. One addresses the City Campus needs among several departments; the other
develops the Library site only. In this work session, consultants will present a summary of their work, the preferred direction, and some development of the plan. The work session will
allow for questions and discussion of the project as a whole.
