At the April 29, 2016 City Council Work Session, EAC member Steve Goodall presented the City Council the committee’s Air Quality Report for discussion. Although there was no formal direction at that work session there was general Council consensus to move forward with the following: 1. Wood Stove Replacement Promotion (involving local retailers). 2. Removal and replacement of old wood stoves upon sale of home with an EPA certified device. 3. An ordinance to Ban Non-EPA certified wood stoves in new construction 4. Year-round burning permits required for residential yard waste burning. 5. Expansion of the existing Woody Debris Program The purpose of this agenda item is to seek advice from Council about on how the EAC should move forward regarding this subject; ie; more research, action, etc.  RECOMMENDED ACTION: Informational and direction from Council  RECORD OF COUNCIL ACTION  MEETING DATE ACTION  January 28, 2016 Initial presentation of the Air Quality Report  April 29, 2016 Work Session to discuss in detail the Air Quality Report
