SUMMARY STATEMENT:
In 2014 the Idaho Legislature established March 4 as Idaho Day, to be observed each year with a proclamation from the governor and programs at the State Capitol, as well as events and
activities in communities statewide. 2016’s theme is "Idaho Heroes: Past or Present," and everyone is encouraged to learn about and celebrate their favorite heroes, and to wear the
royal blue of our state flag.
Last year, schools and libraries displayed Idaho-themed books and held Idaho trivia quizzes, Idaho Rendezvous, and numerous other activities.
The McCall City Library is hosting an Idaho History day on March 4th, and the Barbara R Morgan Elementary School 4th graders and teachers will be coming for Idaho research room and fun
Idaho related activities.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Proclaim March 4, 2016 as Idaho Day in the City of McCall and authorize the Mayor to sign the proclamation.
