The National Education Association is building a nation of readers through its signature program, NEA’s Read Across America. Now in its 19th year, this year-round program focuses on
motivating children and teens to read through events, partnerships, and reading resources. Hang on to your hats! It’s time to gear up for NEA’s Read Across America Day and go wild for
reading! On March 2, tip your hat to Dr. Seuss.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Proclaim March 2, 2016 as Read Across America Day in McCall and authorize the Mayor to sign the proclamation.
