SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Matt Babcock, selected by the City of McCall for commission of public artwork (“Mountain Goats at Play”) within a new public plaza next to the Alpine Playhouse, has recently formed a
Limited Liability Company (LLC) and has requested that the City consent to assignment of his Artwork Commission Agreement, approved by the City in October, 2015, from him as an individual
to his LLC. To accomplish this, a Consent to Assignment must be approved and signed by the City of McCall.
This assignment of contract to Babcock Artworks LLC does not change the provisions of the existing executed Artwork Commission Agreement. The accompanying Assignment of Contract, signed
by Mr. Babcock, provides assurances that he will continue to be personally responsible for fulfillment of the contract.
The attached Consent to Assignment and Assignment of Contract documents have been reviewed by the City Attorney.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the Consent to Assignment and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
