ENDORSING NJDOT BIKEWAY GRANT APPLICATION
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex,
New Jersey are desirous of obtaining funding from the NJDOT Bikeway Grant to extend

the Carteret River Walk at Waterfront Park; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body has authorized the Borough Engineer to recommend a
NJDOT Bikeway Grant Application for submittal for funding; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has recommended and prepared a NJDOT Bikeway
Grant Application to extend the Carteret River Walk at Waterfront Park; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body has reviewed the above described NJDOT Bikeway
Grant Application and has approved of the same; and
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret wishes to enter into a partnership with the schools
and police department to foster programs and improvements that encourage walking and
biking; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Nlayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey that the Borough of Carteret
hereby endorses the submission of the above described NJDOT Bikeway Grant
Application to the New Jersey Department of Transportation and that the Mayor is
hereby authorized to execute said application.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolution along with two
signed copies of the application be forwarded to the Borough Grant Coordinator for
submission to the District Local Aid Office, within the New Jersey Transportation.
