SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The intent of this agenda bill is to request approval of a resolution to enact a ban on possession and consumption of alcohol within McCall City Parks on the 4th of July holiday weekend.
A proposed resolution, without proposed dates/times, is enclosed with this agenda bill. Staff will request Council direction on establishing dates and times for the proposed resolution.
During the last Council meeting, a request was provided to staff to determine the dates/times of a pending alcohol ban at North Beach. Keith Hobbs, IDPR Operations Division Manager,
has stated that the tentative alcohol ban for North Beach will commence at 12:01 AM on Friday/1 July and terminate at 12:01 AM on Tuesday/5 July. Resolution 16-11 is attached for the
Council’s review.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Discuss and establish dates and times for a ban of alcohol within McCall City Parks for the 2016 4th of July holiday weekend.
Adopt Resolution 16-11 prohibiting the possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages in City Parks From __________ through ___________, 2016 and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary
documents.
