SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Council adioptd a tentative budget in the amoung of $17,531,774 on July 18, 2014. Council conducted a duly noticed public hearing at the August 14, 2014 Council meeting regarding the
tentative (proposed) FY15 budget.
The budget was updated to reflect the approved Locl Option Tax funding as amended by the Council, and a data entry error that was identified at the Council Work Session on July 18, 2014.
Administrative transfers were recalculated after the July 18, 2014 work session and staff balanced the FY15 Proposed budget. To provide clarity, the affected line items are highlighted
in green on the attached budget work sheet. Staff also identifed additional carry forward amounts in the Recreation fund (Parks Department), and the General Fund (Community Development
and Capital Improvement Departments) for Council consideration. The carry forwards are requested in anticipation of potential project delays outside of the control of the project managers.
The potental carry forward line items are highlighted in blue on the attached worksheet.
The public hearing was left open until August 28, 2014 to receive written comments from the public. As of August 20, 2014 no additional comments were received by staff. Should any comments
be submitted prior to the end of the comment period, August 28, 2014, they will be made availabe to the Council.
Attahed is a draft appropriation ordinance.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Suspend the rules, read by title only, one time only Ordinance No.___________
Adopt Ordinance No.________ setting the FY15 City of McCall budget appropriation at $17,531,774, and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
