SUMMARY STATEMENT:
With the failure of the 1% Ordinance, the immediate need for re-organization is removed. While I intend to make some work assignment changes in the short-term, primarily to ensure appropriate
attention will be given to our Utilities’ challenges, no further reporting relationships will change in the short-term.
Thus, it is my current thinking that the City organization structure will be maintained until a new City Manager can be recruited and hired.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
So that we all might have sufficient time to prepare, I am asking the Council to give consideration to the characteristics you will be seeking in the next City Manager.
