This entire section of code needs to be completely revised and updated. Public Works has previously presented several versions of revisions to this code section. In the last 20 years, industry, engineering and regulatory standards have changed dramatically. In addition newer products and materials offer longer service life and ease of installation. Public Works would like a mechanism to adopt changes to utility specifications without needing approval from City Council. Revisions to the current MCC Title 6 are needed now before increased new development takes place, to bring our code up to standard and to address situations that are unique to McCall. Chapter 4 of Title 6 is now incorporated within Chapters 1 and 3. A more detailed review of the proposed changes will be presented at the City Council Work Session. The current MCC Title 6 and the proposed new Title 6, Chapters 1, 2, and 3 are attached for Council review. RECOMMENDED ACTION: For review and discussion purposes only.
