SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Due to the increasing complexity of land acquisition efforts being undertaken by the airport, the FAA has recommended that the city procure non-litigation oriented legal counsel for
provision of guidance to City staff within the remaining acquisition process. The cost incurred for this agreement is eligible for partial reimbursement under the Airport Improvement
Program (AIP) land acquisition effort. The FAA has reviewed and concurred with services and estimated fees as outlined within this draft agreement.
As a part of the selection process for legal counsel, the qualifications from four separate firms were considered. The letter attached to this draft agreement portrays qualifications
from the considered firms and outlines selection of White Peterson, pending Council’s concurrence of this selection.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the Agreement with White Peterson for Non-Litigation Legal Services for Land Acquisition and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
