SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Wastewater Joint Working Group (PLRWSD & City of McCall) has been meeting weekly since early August to discuss ways to develop a joint operational structure for the operations and
maintenance of both the PLRWSD and the City of McCall’s wastewater systems.
A draft operational structure was presented to the City Council on September 26, 2013. A number of questions have arisen that need to be addressed before moving forward. Dale Caza (PLRWSD)
and Peter Borner (City of McCall) will continue to meet on a regular basis to develop a framework of working together in a more collaborative way.
A draft Memorandum of Understanding was presented to Council on November 7, 2013. The Council worked through the document and made some recommended changes that went back to the PLRWSD
Board to consider.
Gene Drabinski, City Manager, will give the Council a progress report related to the development of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU will have 3 primary elements:
Joint Maintenance of Disposal
Multiyear Plan for Treatment
Multiyear Plan for Collection
