SUMMARY STATEMENT:
On May 8, 2017 invitations to bid were solicited for the Commerce Street Reconstruction project. A pre-bid meeting was held on May 17, 2017 to present the project to potential bidders
and answer questions related to the project. Bids will be opened on May 25, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. and reviewed by staff.
A bid tabulation summary will be prepared following the bid opening, and a recommendation for contract award will be provided by the engineering consultant. In addition, the draft project
agreement will be finalized with the appropriate contractor information. These documents will be provided as a handout to all Council members at the meeting. The cost impact is approximately
$550,000 as the actual contract value will be known after bids are received.
Attached is a copy of the draft project agreement (contract) which has been reviewed by legal counsel, and an overall site plan of the project.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the contract with (TBD) for Commerce Street Reconstruction and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
