SUMMARY STATEMENT:
During the last Council meeting, Council members discussed term and bonus options for the golf pro contract. Staff was instructed to restructure bonus options to provide for consideration
of the Council at a future meeting. Staff evaluated bonus options with a methodology for increasing the baseline amounts for establishment of a bonus, and also reviewed an option for
re-negotiation of a bonus option at a later date. After an attempt to have a self-adjusting baseline for a bonus, staff found that this method would pose risk to both parties. This
led staff back to an option where re-negotiation of a bonus provision could be utilized. Two options, with different expected payouts, for use have been provided for consideration of
the Council in the attached draft agreement.
This agenda bill will also allow for any other feedback from the Council on contract language. If final feedback is obtained on this agreement, a final/clean copy of the agreement will
be provided to the Council for approval at the next meeting.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff requests direction of the Council on any matters of interest in the draft golf pro agreement and also requests direction on the bonus compensation provision.
