PROPERTY TAX CANCELLATION
FOR HURRICANE SANDY RELATED DAMAGE
WHEREAS, Mayor Dan Reiman has presented this resolution to the Borough Council
for their Consideration; and -
WHEREAS, the administration has recommended its adoption; and
WHEREAS, The Borough of Carteret recognizes the severe extent of damages that
was brought upon our homeowners as a direct result of "Superstorm Hurricane
Sandy'; and
WHEREAS, certain homes are now deemed uninhabitable and have been certified and
posted as unsafe; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Dan Reiman and the Borough Council desire to provide tax relief
for these homeowners by cancelling the 4" quarter of 2012.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, that the Tax Collector
cancel the 2012 as follows:

Totals $8,140.93
Adopted this 6" day of December, 2012

original on December 7, 2012.
