SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The second fiscal 17 budget amendment request appropriates additional Local Option Tax – Streets revenue and expenditures of $480,000. LOT – Streets became effective January 2016 and
FY17 budget development began in late spring. At that time there were five to six months of collection history (winter and shoulder months) to base revenue estimates for FY17 LOT –
Streets revenue. As of 08/31/2017 LOT – Streets FY17 revenue projections are exceeding the budget by approximately thirty-seven percent.
