SUMMARY STATEMENT:
On August 12, 2015, the Department of Environmental Quaility (DEQ) awarded the City of McCall a wastewater planning grant in the amount of $77,000. The purpose of the grant was to prepare
a planning document to determine the extent of the City’s leaking lagoons. To date $16,780 of those funds have been disbursed to the City of McCall, leaving a balance of $60,200. Part
of the Annexation agreement is to transfer this grant to the Payette Lake Recreational Water & Sewer District (PLRWSD).
However, in order for the transfer to commence, the DEQ has requested an amendment document to be submitted to allow them to make the PLRWSD the recipient of the grant and the document
has to be approved by both parties of the Annexation. The transfer was approved by the PLRWSD at their October 18, 2017 meeting.
The DEQ request letter and the grant amendment are attached.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the Amendment Transferring the Department of Environmental Quality Wastewater Planning Grant to the Payette Lakes Recreational Water & Sewer District and authorize the Mayor
to sign all necessary documents.
