SUMMARY STATEMENT:
It was identified in FY17 that the City needed to establish contracts with private entities that receive public funds. A contract for FY17 was successfully implemented. A contract for
FY18 is needed.
The attached agreement will terminate at the end of the fiscal year and be re-negotiated to match the funds to be appropriated for services from McPaws in future fiscal years. Every
effort will be made to ensure that the contract for FY19 is negotiated as part of the budgeting process to avoid approving a contract after funds are appropriated.
Amber Kostoff, the new Executive Director of McPaws, has approved the attached contract.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the Agreement for Services for FY18 with McPaws Regional Animal Shelter and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
