SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC), for the first time this year, is administering the Local Strategic Initiatives Program which is intended to support “shovel ready”
local road maintenance projects that can be completed by November 16, 2018. There is no required minimum grant funding match.
Idaho Street, with its engineering design well underway, ample public input, and construction schedule already identified for summer 2018 meets the project requirements for this grant
opporunity.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve submission of an FY18 Local Strategic Initiatives grant to the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
