SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Several qualified applications for the City Manager position were received. After a comprehensive search,
the City of McCall has found a new Manager, Anette Spickard. Mrs. Spickard made the following statement
in her cover letter:
“I bring a strong set of directly related leadership skills and experience in the local government sector that
will be a value to McCall especially in terms of financial management, planning for growth and
infrastructure, and working on tough community problems such as affordable housing. I have served as an
elected and appointed public official, as a local government executive manager, and as a committed
community volunteer in the Eugene/Springfield area of Oregon for over twenty years. I am frequently
stopped in the market by folks who want to discuss the latest City project or to share issues that they wish
me to look into. Being accessible and responsive to the public is one of my core values and I believe McCall
shares that same value.”
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the City Manager Agreement, and appoint Anette Spickard as City Manager per McCall City
Code 1.7.1 effective February 12, 2018 and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
