SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Since the last Council meeting, the City Treasurer was notified that the current provider for credit card processing, No Late Payments (NLP), will cease providing revenue-neutral credit
card processing services within thirty days of notification. The representative at Billing Documents Specialists has stated that to avoid interruption in credit card services for utility
customers at the City of McCall, a transition to another provider, in this case Point and Pay (PNP), should be effected as soon as possible. Staff therefore coordinated with White Peterson
for review of documents and signatory authority to make the transition to PNP without interruption of services to City utility customers. The City Manager signed an agreement for services
with PNP on 2 May to initiate a transfer of services to this agency and to avoid interruption of credit card processing services. Per recommendation of White Peterson, the intent of
this agenda bill is to request ratification of the City Manager’s decision to sign an agreement with PNP for continuation of credit card transaction processing for the City of McCall
without interruption of services.
Attached to this agenda bill is a copy of the agreement signed by the City Manager for services from PNP.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve to ratify the City Manager’s approval and signature of the attached agreement between Point and Play and the City of McCall for credit card processing services.
