SUMMARY STATEMENT:
This project is for the annual striping of city streets, stop bars, turn arrows and crosswalks.
Striping work will consist of approximately 16 miles of city roads, as well as stop bars, turn arrows, and crosswalks on State Hwy 55. The Streets Department will be striping city parking
lots, parking stalls, cross walks and stop bars not located on Hwy 55.
Because the cost of this contract is less than $100,000, informal bidding was conducted. The bid opening will be conducted on May 22, 2017. Staff will present the bidding results and
provide a recommendation for contract award at the May 25th meeting.
Attached is the bid schedule and draft contract. This has been reviewed by legal counsel.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Award the 2017 Street Striping contract to __________________ in the amount of ____ and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
