SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Relocation of the Police Department requires considerable network capabilities to maintain connections to the City’s datacenter, the Valley County dispatch servers, and digital phone
service. Until City-owned fiber networking is in place, alternate connectivity services must be provided. This is the least-cost proposal for providing those services commercially.
Service is for a three-year term and falls under our existing Frontier Services Agreement, including a non-appropriations clause; no additional contract language is required.
The EVPL schedule is attached.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the Frontier Communications Ethernet Virtual Private Line schedule for the new Police facility and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
