All trees with a 6° diameter at 4.5' above ground count toward the density count • Significant trees may be removed only under certain circumstances and must be replaced inch - for -inch in like species with minimum Y diameter trees or be otherwise mitigated. (See reverse side for definition.) • By accepting the Tree Removal Permit, the applicant and the property owner agree to comply with all requirements of the Tree Ordinance, including mitigation requirements, planting specifications and tree survival requirements. Sikes City Attorney Edward M. Hughes This letter is reference to your property on South Campbell Ave lots 7 and 8. On October 28, 2005 this office was made aware of trees that had been removed from the property without a permit. After reviewing the tree survey of the property it was determined that between 10 and 12 trees had been removed. As you know, on November 7, 2005 at City Hall a meeting took place between yourself, Bob Thomson, Dee Anderson, and Chuck Bargeron. At this meeting the tree survey was reviewed and you were made aware of possible penalties. A subsequent meeting at the site verified the trees removed. It is the decision of the City Manager Bob Thomson that the penalty for removing these trees without obtaining the proper permit shall be $3,000.
