HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrd. 00032 ORDINANCE NO. 3. 3 i AN ORDINANCE OF TIE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE 4 CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR 5 OFFICIAL BONDS OF CERTAIN CITY OFFICERS, AND 6 FIXING THE AMOUNT OF SUCH BONDS, AND ALSO 7 FIXING THE SALARY OF THE CITY CLERK THE 8 CITY MARSHAL, AND THE CITY TREASURER OF SAID 9 CITY QF LYNWOOD.• 10 ' 11 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood do or- 12 11 dain as follows: 13 Section 1: That the City Clerk the City Treasurer, 14 and the City Marshal be and they are each respectively required to ! 15 execute to the City of Lynwood official bonds in the following 16 penal sums, to -wit: _ _17,( The City Clerk in the penal sum of Five Hundred ��4,,) {$500.00) Dollars: 19 The City Treasurer in the penal sum of One Thousand �� 1,000.00) Dollars: y The City Marshal in the penal sum of Five Hundred & *50 .00) .Dollars. r 23 Section 2: That said bonds shall be joint and 24 several in form and shall be signed by the respective principals 25 and by at least two sureties,who'shall justify as required by law 26 in the case of sureties on bonds of County and Township officers, an 27 shall be conditioned that the principal will well and truly perform 28 all the duties of the office for which - the same is given, and all 29 offices for which the said principal by reason of his said office as 30 ex- officio incumbent; provided that said Board of Trustees may 31 accept as sole and sufficient sureties on such bond any corporation ` 32 entitled to give such bonds under the laws of this State. l {�,J F / 1 Section 3: That said bonds shall be subject to the 2 approval of the Board of Trustees of said City and after being so 3 approved shall, with the exception of the bond of the City Clerk, 4 which shall be filed with the President of the Board of Trustees, be 5 filed with the said City Clerk. 6 Section 4: That each of said officers shall present 7 their respective official bonds to the Board of Trustees for approva a within ten days after the official canvas of the returns of the y 9 election at which they were elected provided that said officers here. 10 to.fore elected should submit their official bonds within ten days 11 of the taking effect of this Ordinance. 12 Section 5: That the salaries or compensation of the 13 City Clerk, the City Marshal, the City'Treasurer and the City Record - 14 er shall be and are fixed as follows: 15 The salary of the City Clerk,shall be $25.00 per 16 month, payable monthly at the end of each and every - month; 17 The salary of the City Marshal shall be $50.00 per M p 1 8 month, payable monthly at the end of each and every month; 19 The salary of the City Treasurer shall be $10.00 per 20 month, payable monthly at the end of each and every month; 21 The salary of the City Recorder shall be $10.00 per lEnvt�2'2tA ,m th, payable monthly at the end of each and every month. vti Section 6: That the compensation or salaries as U 24 above set forth shall be in full for all services, and all fees f 25 collected by such officers in their,official capacity, shall be 26 paid into the City Treasury, 27 Section 7: The -City Clerk shall certify to the �. 28 passage of this Ordinance and its approval by the President of said 29 Board, and there being no newspaper of general circulation publish - 30 ed and circulated in said City, he shall cause the same to be print - 31 ed and posted in three public places in said City of Lynwood, to -wit: 32 One copy upon the bulletin board at the entrance to I% 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 a 9 10 11 12 13 x• L ` a • the office of the Board of Trustees of said -City at 205 WesVMulford Avenue; One copy upon the bulletin board.at the Pacific." � *n r,io d cL 3�ifir�n- Electric Railway Station the in eraection of Long Beach Boule`= vard and Fernwood Avenue in said City, and One copy upon the bulletin board at the northwest corner of Milford Avenue and Long Beach Boulevard in said City, and thereupon and thereafter this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect.
