Section I, A Plannin 'Commission for 'the City of L..;r.-
wood to consist of hive Mcmbers to be appointed as per Sec.
2, Act 23891, General Laws of the Stato of California, is
hereby created. ".gembers to hold office, and vacancies oc-
curing on this commission, to be held and filled in com-

Gect ion 2 The meetings of the .City, "i'1-ntning Commis-
sion shall be at least once -1 1 at si:ch time and place
as they may fix by resolution. The selection of a member

fice, special meetings record of proceedings, etc., shall
'be`in accordance with Section. 3 of this act.
Section 3, The city PlannnU 9ommisson shall
have poT ^.e:^, except as otherwise provided by law, to rec-
eorrniend to the proper officers of the municipality, plans
for the regulation of the future growth 'development and
beautification of the municipality in respect to its pub-
lic an rri..<_te buildings parks etc, To ina:e recoiim,enda

vi?u,als' of such city ,with reference to-the location. of am:

any and all other acts and things necessary or prover to
carry otzt the provisions of this act.
Section 4. The City ?Tanning Commission shall maWe.or
cause to be -nade, at' the direction of the, City Co a
map or maps of the city or any portion thereof_ including
adi.acen.t terrirory lying outside of the corporate bound -
aries of the said city, showing streets,
-etc., and make
any fitting recommendations relating thereto. It shall also
make recommendations concerning any and all 'grounds in con-
templation for urban ,urpo.a. Also in regard to zones or
districts for the purpose of conserving �ihd protecting the
public health, comfort and convenience.
Section 5. Notice shall be given to the City Planning
Commission of the pendency of any ordinance or resolution
relating to the location of any public building of the City,
transformation of any streets, alleys, parkV;ays, etc., or
ordinances relating to housing, Lniilding codes or zones, or
to any and all changes or improvements contained in Section
6 of the above mentioned Act.
Sec.6.The Board of Trustees of the Oity of Lynwood do hereby
avail thems elves, of the privilege granted nnd.er Section 7
of Act 2389j of the General laws of California to levy and
collect a tax not to exceed two mills on the dollar of as-
s�ssed valuation for the purpose of defraying the lawful ex-
penses incurred b,,� the City Planning Commission.

Section 7, The City Clerk_shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance by a four- fifths vote of all members of
the Board of Trustees of said City of Lynwood and its approval
by the President of said Board. He shall also cause same to be
published for'at least three consecutive weeks in a newspaper
of general circulation published within the above mentioned
City of Lynwood, and thereupon and thereafter this Ordinance
Vhjll he in full force and effect.,

Lynwood, California, do hereby certify that the whole number
of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood is five, and
that the foregoing Ordinance, being Ordinance No. w ho, was
duly passed and adopted by a vote of four- fifths of all its
members and approved by the President of said Board, and at-
tested by the City Clerk, at a regular meeting of said Board,
held on the A day of !923, and that the same
was passed and adopted by the ffollowing vote, to -wit:
