HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrd. 0034t' 6 Ordinance No A An Ordinance of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood, Cal., amending Ordinance No. 19, as amended by Ordinance No. 26, by adding a Sec- tion to such Ordinances to be known as.Section No. 2� providing for the erection of temporary structures within the fire zones created by Or- dinances No. 19 and 26. ----- -------- - - - - -- 4 The Board of Trustees of the Ci.tuT of Lynwood do ordain as follows, to -wit: Section 1: There is hereby added to Ordinance No. 19, as ti -a the same is -amended by Ordinance No. 26, a section to be known and designated as Section No. 2y, to -wit: "Section 2 : There is hereby granted to the Board of Trus- tees of the City of Lynwood full power to issue under the provisions of Ordinance No. 19 and under Ordinance No. 26, which amends the same, tei pporary permits to erect or cause to be erected within the fire- 16mits as fixed by Ordinance No. 19, as amended.by Ordinance No. 26, wooden structures for the term of four months from the time of such erection, which hermits may be extended by the Board for a term of four month more and no longer, except where the temporary structure is erected for the purpose of occupancy during the time a permanent building is being constructed, and in such case the temporary permit may be extended until such permanent building is fully completed,. pro- vided there is no unnecessary delay in so completing the permanent building." fi5ra "con (5i;tion precedent to the going into effect of the permit he-reinbefore provided for each holder of such.permit shall file with the Clerk of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood a bond issued by a Surety Company of good standing, in the penal sum of $1,000,00 conditioned that the holder of the permit shall at the termination of the time stated in the permit, or any legal extention thereof, remove without delay the temporary structure mentioned in the permit. This provision shall in no way affect the penalty provided in this Ordinance; but shall be in addition thereto. Section 2: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately on its final passage. And the Clerk is directed to cause this Ordinance to i be published once, after its final passage, in the Lynwood Tribune. a weekly paper of general circulation printed and published in the said City of Lynwood. Section 3: The reason ,why this Ordinance is made to fake effect immediately after its final passage is because it, is an Ordi- nance for the iiimediate preservation of the peace, health and safety of the public; and. the facts constituting its urgency are declared to be as follows:. Certain danger arises if frame structures, which are inflammable, are allowed permanently to re. -ain in the fire districts of the City of Lynwood; for this reason an emergency is hereby declared, and this Ordinance is taken out of the provisions of the Referendum.
