An Ordinance of the Board of Trustees of the_ City of Lynwood fixing the amount
of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within
the City as a revenue for said city to carry on the various municipal
departfiehts ; �of said city for the fiscal year I926 -I927.
T h e Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwocd does ordain as follows, to -wit:
Section I. T h a t the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon
the taxable- property in the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles, State of

said!City of Lynwood for the fiscal year I926 -1927, is hereby fixed as follows:

($29,038.72)
Section 2,, T h a t this Ordinance shall take, effect and be in force immediately
upon its final passage and approval.
Section 3, T h e; reason why this ordinance is made to go into effect immediatel
as provided. in section 2 hereof is because it is necessary that said ordinance
shall take effect without delay in order to preserve the public health, peace an
safety, that without municipal funds it will be-impossible to carry on any -gover
-nment whatever in said city; and that under the laws of the State of California
the action of the Board of Trustees of the said city must be certified to and be
in the hands of the Auditor of the County of Los Angeles before the first Tuesda
after the first Monday of September I926; and to accomplish that action it is ne
- essary that the aforesaid Ordinance go into effect immediately on its final
passage and- approval as above provided,- and,.therefore, an emergency is hereby
declared;
Section 4. T h e Clerk of the City of Lynwood is directed to cause this Ord -
inance'to be published once after its final passage and approval in the Lynwood
Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation, published, printed and circulated- -
-".ri^in -the City of Lynwood and hereby designated for the said purpose.
T h et above ordinance was introduced and read three times by the Mard`of
Trustees of the City of Lynwood; at a 'regular meeting of said Board, held On
Tuesday, the 24th day. of August, I926, by the following vote:
