AIuD FIXING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF SAID ORDINANCE. The Board of Trustees, now known as the City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain as follows, to -wit: Section 1. From and after this Ordinance goes into ef- fect, it shall be unlawful and is prohibited for any person oper- ating any automobile or other vehicle to drive over any fire hose, whether the same contains water or is empty, in the City of Lyn- wood, whether the same is being actually in use in the extinguishment of fires or otherwise. Section 2. After the final passage ana approval of this Ordinance, it shall be unlawful and is prohibited for any person, whether in an automobile or on foot, to approach the location where and when any fire in the City of Lynwood is being extinguished by the firemen of the City of Lynwood nearer than 200 feet. This pro- hibition does not apply to firemen or other person actually engaged in the extinguishment of any such fire; nor to automobiles or other vehicles owned or operated by the City of Lynwood, or others, which is being used in the operati:)n of extinguishing of such fire. Section 3. Any violation of this Ordinance shall be deemed a misdemeanor punishable r *a .a fine of not exceeding 0300.00 or by imprisonment in the County Jail of Los Angeles County, or in the City Jail of the City of Lynwood, for a term of not exceeding ninety (90) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. A judg- ment imposing a fine may provide for its collection by imprisonment in either of such jails in the proportion of one day's imprisonment for each dollar of the fine until such fine be wholly satisfied. Section 4. The Clerk of the City of Lynwood is directed to cause this Ordinance after its final passage and approval to be published for one time in the Lynwood Tribune, which newspaper is hereby designated for that purpose.
