HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrd. 0102ORDINANCE NO. 102 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 53 AND ADDING TO ORDINANCE NO. 31 A NEW SECTION TO BE KN0 AS "SECTION 3 ". The Board of trustees, (now known as the City Council), of the City of Lynwood, do ordain as follows: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 53 of the City of Lynwood be and the same is hereby repealed. Section 2. That a new section be added to Ordinance No. 31 of the City of Lynwood, such section to be i:nown as "Section Sri and to be in words and figures following, to -wit: "Section 3. That the salary of the City Attorney shall be seventy -five (:$75.00) Dollars, per month, payable monthly at the end of each and every month; provided, however, that the said sum shall not be deemed or taken to be compensation for the following services: (a) Litigated cases in which the City of Lynwood, or its officers, or any of them, in their official capacity shall be parties. (b) The preparation of resolutions, ordinances, orderp, or proceedings taken or authorized by virtue of any legislation authorizing the creation of improvement districts of any kind, character or description, and any other professional services, whether of the foregoing character or not, necessary, convenient or proper to be had in any such proceeding. (a) Any service done or performed by virtue of any special proceeding to which the city shall be a party, whether in a private or public capacity. As to all of the said excepted services the said City attorney, if specially employed, shall be entitled to additional compensation to be fixed by the order of the Board of Trustees or the City Council at the time of the commencement of such service, or at tr.e time of the completion thereof, or at any time between_ such commencement and completion." Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and its approval by President of the Board of Trustees, (now known as Yayor) and shall cause it to be published once in The Lynwood Tribune.
