AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO SOUTHERN PACIFIC COIVLPANt,
A CORPORATION, ..OPERATING A STRal RAILROAD DOING AN
INTERSTATE.BUSINESS,.ITS SUCCESSORS.AND ASSIGNS,
THE RI T TO CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN A SPUR TRACK
ACROSS� ALAMEDA STREET SOUTH_,OF LYN'HOOD.
ROAD IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA.
The Board of Trustees of•the City of Lynwood do
ordain as follows:
Seotion 1. That the right be and the same is
hereby granted to Southern Pacific Company, a corporation,.
operating ' s steam railroad doing an interstate business,
its successors and assigns, to construct, maintain and operate
a spur railroad track acrossL Alameda Street south
of Lynwood Road, the center line of which spur track is
more particularly described as follows, to wit:
Beginning at a point in the easterly line of
Alameda Street distant southerly:625 feet from the
intersection of-said easterly line of Alameda Street
and the easterly prolongation of the southerly line
of Lynwood Road; thence northwesterly, along a 15
degree curve concave to the southwest, a distance of
123 feet, more or less, to a point in the westerly
ti
line of said Alameda Street; said point is distant
southerly 507 feet, more or less, along the westerly
line of said Alameda Street from the southerly line
of said Lynwood Road; as more particularly shown on
blue print Drawing B -919 accompanying the application
therefor now on file with the City Clerk of said
City.

Seotion 2 Said grantee, its successors and assigns
shall use in the construction of said spur the best material,
including rails weighing not less than sixty pounds per yard,
and that the grantee hereof shall pave or macadamize said road
between the rails and for two feet on each side thereof with the
same material used by the city upon the street over which asatd
spur track runs, and keep the same in repair flush with the
street, and shall make the roadbed conform at all times with
the established grade of said,.street, and all repairs.an d grades
to be made under the instruction and to the satisfaction of the
Street Superintendent or the Board of Trustees of said City;
in case the said grantee fails to comply with the instructions
given for said repairs for ten days after service of notice there-
of, the City of Lynwood may enter upon the road of said grantee
and do the work and keep an itemized account of the cost thereof,
which said grantee agrees to pay immediately on presentation
to said grantee of said account.
Provided, further, that said grantee or assigns shall
construct ali flumes and culverts for the free passage
of water under the tracks of said railroad where the same
naturally flows; and it is understood that said grantee or
assigns shall have the right to excavate and remove portions
of the street necessary to properly construct said road, and to
erect needful apparatus and appurtenances to properly equip
and run the same.
Section 3.. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this Ordinance by a vote of at least two- thirds
all the trustees of the City of Lynwood, and to its approval
the president of said Board, and 'shall' cause .this, Ordinance
