AN'ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD'OF TRUSTEFS, NO77

LYNIJOOD, FIXING THE AIvtOUNT OF MONEY NEC -
ESSARY TO BE RAISED UNDER THE LA'W, ..BY TAX-
ATION upbkT THE TAXABLE REAL PROPERTY (NOT
INCLUDING THE, IISIPROVEMENT THEREON) IN THE.
ASSESS1:1ENT DISTRICT DESCRIBED IN "ACQUISI-
TION AND II1PROVEI ENT NO. 19", FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR 1923 -1930.
The Board of Trustees, now known as the City Council, of the
City of Lynwood does ordain as follows', to -wit:
Section 1. That the amount of money necessary to be raised
by taxation upon the taxable real property ( not including the
improvements thereon) in the Assessment District described in
"Acquisition and Improvement District No. 19", in the City of
Lynwood, for the fiscal year 1929 -1930, to pay accrued interest,
which will be payable in said fiscal year, and to be assessed
upon the real . property, (not including the improvements-thereon)
in the assessment district set forth and described in said
"Acquisition and Improvement District No. 19" of the said City
of Lynwood, is the sum of $65,498.22 and the same is hereby fixed
and determined to be said sum of money.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall go into effect immediately
= -upon its"fY.nal passage "arid approval: -
Section 3. That the reason why this Ordinance is made to.go
into effect as provided in Section 2 hereof is because it is
necessary that said Ordinance shall take effect immediately for
the preservation of the public health, public peace and safety;
that without 14unicipal funds it will be impossible to carry on
any government whatever in said City of Lynwood; and that under
the laws of the State of California the.action of the Board of
Trustees, nova known as the City Council of said,City, must be
certified and in the hands of the Auditor of the County of Los
Angeles before the first Tuesday after the first Monday of
September, 1929, and that to accomplish that action it.is necessary
that.the aforesaid Ordinance go into effect immediately on its
passage and approval as above provided.
Section 4. The Clerk of the City of Lynwood is directed to
cause this ordinance to be published, after its final passage, once
in the Lynwood Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation in said
City..
The above ordinance wasmintroduced and read three (3) times
and finally passed by the said Board. of Trustees of the City of.
Lynwood, at a regular meeting of said Board held. on the 13th da;r.
of August, by the following vote:
AYES:. Councilmen Tweedy, Skelton, Anderson, Lewis, Murray.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
