ORDINANCE NO. 163
ANORDINANCE OF THE'CITY OF LYNT1700D, CALIFORNIA,
PRESCRIBING ADDITIONAL DUTIES OF POLICE AND
FIREMEN OF SAID CITY.

The City Council of the City of Lynwood do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: In addition to the performance of their regular
and ordinary duties, allpolice and firemen shall have discretion at
all times and under all circumstances to go to the aid of all persons,
animals or property in immediate distress or danger in the City of Lyn-
wood and outside of the City limits.of Lynwood and to render them such
help and assistance as lies within their power and shall render such
assistance in said City or outside said City limits upon specific or-
ders therefor by the Chief of the Fire Department or the Chief of
Police of said City.
SECTIO7 2: In case any policeman or fireman should be in-

. enering.such additional services as aforementioned,
he shall be deemed to be injured in the course of his employment
and shall be entitled to workmen's compensation therefor, as pro-
vided by law.
, SECTION 3: The City Clerk .shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be pub-
lished once in the LYN1.VOOD TRIBUNE, a weekly newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Lyn-
wood,California.
That this Ordinance shall take effect in thrity days after
adoption.
