The City Co.ncil of the City of Lynwood do ordain as fol-
SECTION 1 : That Ordinance No. 141 chapter 37- section 3716
of the building code of the City of Lynwood, shall be amended to read
as follows.
SECTION 2 : It shall be compulsory that all business buildings
either existing, or hereinafter erected, where there is any waste mat-
erial to be burned, shall have built in as an integral part of the
building where there is not sufficient room on the lot, or where there
is room to keep it at least ten (10) feet from any building on said
lot, and the same distance from any lot line it may be built in the
yard, an incinerator shall be built. "'here it is in the yard it may
be any approved ready built incinerator, or if built it shall be suf-
ficiently strong to withstand lire and earthquake, and be equipped
with an spark arrestor.
SECTION 3: It shall be unlawful for any person,firm or
corporation to leave a fire built in any yard, lot or grass covered
field within the City of Lynwood without some adult person in attend-
ance continuously until fire is out, provided further that this section
shall not apply to fires built in an approved type of incinerator, or
covered pit.
SECTION 4 : To carry out the purpose of this Ordinance, the
Chief of the Fire Department, or his duly authorized representative
shall issue permits, and shall include in said permits such safeguard-
ing restrictions and precautions as are reasonably necess&ry to ,prevent
uncontrollable fires that may endanger life or property in the City of
Lynwood.
SECTION 5.: Any person, firm or corporation violating any
of the provisions of this ordinance, shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine
of not less than five dollars 05.00) nor more than Fifty dollars
(tt50.00) or by imprisonment in the City or County jail for a period
of not less than five (5) days nor more than thirty (30) drys, or by
both such fine and imprisonment. Each such person, irm or corporation
shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for every day during
which any portion of which any violation of any provisions of this
ordinance is committed, continued or permitted by such person, firm
or corporation, and shall be punishable thereof as provided by this
ordinance.
SECTIOY 6: That the City Clerk sln ll certify to the pas-
sage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once
after its final passage and approval, in the Lynwood Tribune, a weekly
newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City.
