AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD LICENSING NOVELTY
GABLES AND FIXING FEE THEREFOR.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood do ordain as
follows:
SECTION I : It shall be unlawful for any person, firm
or corporation to conduct or cause to be conducted, or to maintain
or cause to be maintained, any novelty game in said City of Lynwood
where any prize consisting of anything of value is given, depending
upon skill in playing the same, unless such person, firm or corpora-
tion shall have obtained a permit and license to conduct and maintain
such game.
SECT II : Application for such permit shall be made
to the City Council, and the Council hereby reserves the right to
reject such application should it, after such investigation as it may
seem sufficient, determine that such permit, or the conduct of busi-
ness thereunder, would be detrimental to the public welfare.
SECTION II I: Should such permit be granted then the License
Clerk shall issue a license thereunder, which shall be revocable by
the City Council at any time thereafter, should it after such investi-
gation as it may deem sufficient, determine that the same, or the
conduct of business thereunder, has become detrimental to the public
welfare.
SECTION IV : The fee for such license shall be the sum of
Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) per annum, payable quarterly in
advance, and such license shall apply to only a single location.
SECTION V : Any person, firm or corporation conducting
or maintaining; any such game as above mentioned without having a valid
license therefor shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon

conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding
Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) or by imprisonment for a period
not exceeding three months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
SECTION VI : The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the
Lynwood tires and the same shall become effective
thirty days from the passage thereof.

NOES: Councilman "nyder.
