AN ORDIN,�NCE OF THE CITY OF LYN900D,CALIFORNIA,
AMINDING ORDINANCE N0.141, ESTABLISHING BUILD-
ING RESTRICTIONS AND FIRE ZONES. .
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain as follows:
SECTION I. That Section 1. of Ordinance No. 141 be amended to read
as follows=
„ SECTION I. That a certain document, three (3) copies of which are on
file in the office of the City Clerk o f the City cf Lynwood, being marked and
designated as "Uniform Builai.ng Code,1930 Edition, published idgy 1930, by
pacific Coast Building Officials Conference be and the same is hereby adopted
as the building code of the C ity of Lynwood for regulating the erection, con-
struction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, demilition, con-
version, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area and maintenance of all ouild-
ings and /or structures in the City of Lynwood; Providing for issuance of per-
mits and collection of fees therefor; rrovidin;; penalties for violation of
such codes Declaring and establishing fire zones; and each and all of the
regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of such "Uniform
Building Code, 1930 Edition, published May 1930, by pacific Coast Building
Officials Conference" on file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby
referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this
Ordinance; provided, however, that section 1602, subdivision "A" of said
Uniform Building Code shall read as fo lows:
SECTION 1602 (A). No building or structure of Type 4 construction
shall be erected or constructed in, or moved into Fire Zone No
SECTION II. That Section 3 of Ordinance No.141 be amended to read
as follows:
"SECTION III. That, the entire incorporated area of the City of
Lynwood is hereby declared to be and is hereby established as a Fire District
and within said Fire District so declared and established, there shall be
three Fire Zones, which shall be known and designated as Fire Zones, One,
TWO, &nd Three. Fire Zone ,A shall include all that portion of said Fire
District extending from the north line of Lynwood Road on the south, to the
south line of Los Flores Boulevard on the north, ann shall include on both
sides of Long Beach Boulevard within the northerly and southerly limits
hereinbefore defined, that portion of the said Fire District, as is bounded
on the east by a line 150 feet .:ast of and parallel to the property line
fronting on the east side of Long Beach Boulevard, and is bounded on the
west by a line 150 feet west of and parallel to the property line fronting
on the west side of Long Beach Boulevard; Fire Zone R2 shall include all
that portion of said Fire District extending from the south line of Lynwood
Road on the north to the southerly limits of the City of Lynwood, on both
sides of Long Beach Boulevard, and bounded on the east by a line 150 feet
east of and parallel to the property line fronting on the east side of
Long Beach Boulevard, and on the west by a line 150 feet west of and parallel
to the property line fronting on the west side of Long Beach Boulevard,
and shall include all that portion of said Fire District extending from the
north line of Los Flores Boulevard on the south to the northerly limits
Of the City of Lynwood on both sides of Long Beach Boulevard, and bounded
on the east by a line 150 feet east of and parallel to the property line
of Long Beach Boulevard, and on the west by a line 150 feet west of and
parallel to the property line fronting on the west side of Long Beach Boule-
vard; Fire Zone #3 shall include that portion of said Fire District as is
not included in Fire Zones 1 and 2.

SECTION III. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance, and cause the same to be published by one insertion
in the niynwood a legal newspaper of general circulation.
