AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYi1WOOD AMINDING ORDINANCE
NO. 2QT AND FURTHER REGULATING THE MANUFACTURE, SALE AND
DISTRIBUTION OF ALCOHOLIC- BEVERAGES'IN SAID CITY.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood.do ordain ae
follows:
SECTION IA: That Ordinance No. 261.1 of said City be
and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the sectiono
herein contained.
SECTION IIA: It shall be unlawfuj.'for any licensed or
unlicensed person, firm.or corporation, to sell or serve, or cause
to be sold or served, any alcoholic beverage containing more than
one -half of one per cent, by weight, of alcohol content, between the
hours of 12 o'clock mid -night any Saturday night.and 12:30 P. M. the
-following Sundayl or any day between the hours -of 12 o'clock midnight
and "6 o'clock A. M. of any following day; except that this section
shall not apply to the filling of prescriptions by authorized and
•licensed pharmacists.
SECTION IIIA: It shall be unlawful for any licensed or
unlicensed person, firm or corporation -to sell or serve, cause to
be sold or served, any alcoholic beverage containing more than one-
- half of one per cent, by weight, of alcohol content, to be consumed
on the premises unless such premises constitute a bona fide cafe or
restaurant serving bona fide meals at tables or counters suitable to
the serving of at least twenty -four customers at once, and unlese
such persons so served shall be actually seated at such counter or
table, and unless such premises are enclosed with the exception of
entrances and exists..
SECTION IVA: It shall be unlawful for any licensed or '
unlicensed person; firm or corporation, to cause or permit any minor'
under the age of nineteen years to sell or serve any alcoholic beverage

containing more than one -half of one per cent, by weight, of alcohol
content.
SECTION VA: It shall be unlawful for any person to consume
any alcoholic beverage containing more than enehalf of one per cent,
by weight, of alcohol content, upon any public street, sidewalk or
place, in said city, except such beverages may be consumed within the
premises that are specified in a license granted for the sale of such
beverages to be consumed on the premises.
SECTION VIA: Any license to manufacture, sell or distribute
any alcoholic beverage containing more than one -half of one per cent,
by weight, of alcohol content, shall be granted only upon the agreement,
in addition to all other terms of the license, that in accepting such
license, the licensee will abide by such rules and regulations as have
been, or-may hereafter be, made by the Police Commission and /or City
Council governing such manufacture, sale or distribution, under penalty
of revocation of such license for violation of any such rules or
regulations.
SECTION VIIA: It is hereby declared that the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety requires that this
ordinance shall become effective immediately, and the facts constituting
the urgency thereof are the same as those stated in Section XVI of

Ordinance No. 2-1t of which this ordinance is amendatory, which said
Section XVI is hereby referred to, and by such reference incorporated
herein.
SECTION VITIA: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of thie,•ordinance by a vote of four- fifths of the members of the City

the City Council of said City at an adjourned regular meeting
thereof held on the 25th day of April, 1933, and that the same
