AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOL, CALIFORNIA

AND OCCUPATIONS: FIXING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION
THEREOF; REPEALING ALL AND PARTS OF ORD -'
INANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. x--
The City Council.of the City of Lynwood does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 14 of Ordinance No. 241 entitled
" AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYWOOD, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR
LICENSING AND REGULATING THE CARRYING ON OF CERTAIN BUSINESSES,
PROFESSIONS, TRADES, CALLINGS AND OCCUPATIONS: FIXING A PENALTY
FOR THE VIOLATION TTHEREOF; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH." be and the same is hereby amend-
ed to read as follows:
"Section 14. Bill Posting or Outdoor Advertising.
For every person, firm or corporation conducting, manag-
ing or carrying on any business in this section enumerated, $36.00
per year payable annually in advance.
a. Posting, sticking, tacking, painting or affixing
cloth, paper, cardboard or metal signs to or upon posts,
fences, buildings or other structures.
b. Constructing, erecting, installing, maintaining or
operating advertising structures, billboards, advertising
signs, sign boards, electric signs, sign devices, gas filled
luminous tube signs or designs.
c. Constructing, erecting, installing, maintaining or
operating any stereopticon, biograph,motion picture machine,
or any similar device erected to attract the attention
of the public and visible from any public sidewalk, street,
alley, or other public place.
d. Affixing or displaying bills, cards, signs or
other advertising matter in or upon street cars, motor
busses, motor coaches, trucks, wagons, trailers, or any
other vehicle using the public street. Provided, nothing
in this section shall be construed as applying to any
sign or advertisement advertising the person, firm or
corporation owning said street cars, motor busses, motor
coaches, trucks, wagons, trailers or other vehicles, pro-
vided said street cars, motor busses, motor coaches, trucks,,
wagons, trailers or other vehicles are used primarily in
the conduct of the business of said person, firm or cor-
poration.
e. Installing or maintaining flags, banners or other
decorative adver:'ising displays over or upon any public
