Network Infrastructure, Projects and Services: Several City copiers are at the end of their lease. The copiers for City Hall, Library and Public Works will be renewed in July through BOE. InfoSys has submitted a grant application for the CARES Act funding for broadband. This is a fast track program which will require projects be complete before December 15, 2020. It is anticipated the funding will be awarded by the end of July. 2. Personnel: The Network Administrator Vlatko Jovanov will be taking a Cisco CCNA certification as part of his ongoing training requirement. This training will expand his knowledge base and is the first step toward higher level Cisco trainings. This becomes more important in today's movement toward online environments and remote workplaces. 3. Projects in Process: Generator move at City Hall to allow for Treasure Valley Transit driveway: This project is complete, and the generator is in its new location behind Central District Health. The project came in under budget and on time. Special thanks to the Parks department for their assistance with some of the groundwork, trenching, and restoration. Spring Mountain Blvd conduit install: This contract has been awarded and materials are on order. Work is expected to begin after the 4th of July holiday. This will include completing the length of Spring Mountain Blvd to Lick Creek Road and turn west to end at Lick Creek Road and Davis Ave. Additionally, this project will connect the Golf course maintenance building as well as the Clubhouse.
