1. Taxiway Relocation Project
Phase 1 of the project will start on July 6th and continue until August 2th. Phase 1 will close the
north end of Taxiway A, the western portion of the main ramp. Due to a change in the construction
haul route, the Diagonal Taxiway will remain in service during this phase. Permanent closure of
the Diagonal is scheduled for August 3rd. Maps showing taxi routes have been created and
distributed.
2. Airport Master Plan (AMP)
The AMP project continues. Some portions of the project are underway, including: a 2-week long
survey of airport facilities and navigational aids — and an inventory of existing facilities. The first
public meeting of the Master Plan is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, July 21' at 7:00 p.m.
location to be determined
3. Taxiway Centerline Marking
The centerline and "T" tie -down marking projects have been completed. The lines were painted
with a mix of "Type-1" reflective beads for increased visibility at night.
4. Airport Pavement Survey
Every 5 years, the Idaho Transportation Department undertakes to survey all airport pavements
state-wide. The survey is provided free to the City of McCall. The results of the survey will
determine priorities, and funding availability, to repair/rehabilitate airport runways, taxiways and
ramps. This survey will be undertaken sometime in late July.
5. United States Forest Service
The United States Forest Service has executed a contract to improve the McCall Airbase on the
west side of the airport. This work will include asphalt and concrete paving, and fencing, on their
leased property west of the runway. The north end of the USFS ramp has been newly paved, and
the contractor has moved to the south USFS ramp. The project should be completed by the end of
August.
