Section 3 ':' The Planning - Commission shall' elect 'its ,chairman

1929;: provided,, however , , 'and to such additional duties
as may be prescribed here"af,ter - by Resolution or:Ordinance of
the, City.d.ouncil of`.the City of Lynwood.
(a) The .Planning,Commission shall meet in "the Council
Chamber `off the City Hall of the City of Lynwood for the
purpose' of 'organizing, at seven ":'o`el_ock P hTnpon'the first
Wednesday after 'its appointment-and--selection; and' it shall
hold its further meetings at said glace, uniess: the City
Council snall,by,Resoluton provide `another f place, of,meeting.

Section 4 :. The regular meeting of ,,the, Planning.. Cominissi on .shall '..
be :open public,..and any person, fisp or :corporate
representative shall be,permitted- to-a'ddress said Planning
Commission - orally, or. in writing upon any- matt matters: by
said- ;Planning" Commission.'
Section 5 : The .Planning bommission may : such o.fic�rs

appointment,' promotion, demotion Lhd' removal shall be subject
to same' provisions of law as govern other' ;civil-employe es.
The Planing Commission shall have' authority to 'c,ontract, with
architects, ",city .planners, .engi neers and other - consultants, for
such services as it may. require

Section 6 : The City. of Lyny✓ood, in making its annual. tax le vy
and as a. -part thereof, shall levy and collect the tax, not to'
e.xe.eed. in any. fiscal year, the sum of one (1) mill,- on,the
dollar of`6Ls ess6d'; valuation for the purposes of .defraying the
lawful expenses incurred, by the Planning. commission' in carrying
out the' purposes. of this' Act and making appropriation from other

funds ,therefore.,• The. Expenditures. of..the Planning Commission,
exclusive.` of gifts. shall be , wi thin the ,amounts . appropriated 'for
hat purpose, ' 'by the City gouncil.which shall provide the funds, s

Section 12' No liability '..shall be incurred by- the " Planning
Commission or :-the City of Zynviood' for th e payment 'of money-, for
services or otheriiiise, until funds have lbeen .provided therefore
in t he manner provided by 1'aw, and,prov de d, that no, expense
'shall be-incurred the Planning Commissi on, .:;of any: kind, unless
first authorized and approved�by the Cray Council.
Section 13 : 'If any section, sentence, clauS.e'or phrase of this
ordinance is ,for any reason held to,Jbe .uncbnstituti6nal,"in viola-
tion of law, or inoperative, such decision shall not affect the
validity' of the remaining portion of'thi ordinance: The City.
Council of the -City of',hynwood:'hereby declares that it.would'have_
passed this ordinance, and each,section, sub- section,'.sentence,
clause 'and phrase thereof trrespective.of the fact that'any`_one
or more. other sections, sub- sections;, sentences,, clauses. or phrases
be declared unconstitutional, in violation of.the law.'or inoperative.
Section 14 : All ordinances or parts of.-ordinances in conflict or
inconsistent. herewith, are hereby repealed.,,
