AN ORDINANCE OF T[M CITY OF LYNWOOD, WAIVING CERTAIN
DELINQUENT PLNALTIES THE NON- PAYP!WT. OF LIGHTING
ASSESSMENTS, 'AND .DECLARING AN ETERGENCY
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain, as
,- follows.
SECTION 1: That all unpaid delinquency penalties and costs
for the non - payment of lighting assessments, levied in the Special,
Light and Maintenance Districts in said city since 1926, excepting
the 1935, 1936 1937 and 1938 Special Light Maintenance Assessments,
be, and the same are hereby waived, subject to the provisions of the
following Section.
SECTION 2; - The .above. waiver, shall be applicable: only to
such lighting assessments; the principal, sum of which -shall be paid '
prior to'Apri1.20, 1939, together with. interest, tYs;reon at the rate
of 7% per annum from July 1s t, 1937.
--,, SECTION 3: ..Whereas' an eme rgency rexists because the.'
limitation- of time and for 'the relief.'of taic,payers, the benefits
of this ordinance are urgently demanded,be,cause : of the present
economic- condition. The. City Council does.. therefor, Yiereby'de-
clare, that an emergency exists and that.this ordinance shall be,
in fmll force and effect upon the fi l rst'publication hereof.
SECTION. 4c The Clerk,'shall.certify to the passage

Lynwood Press, and thesame shall become effective
